I grew up in Grand Blanc, MI and now live in Fenton with my wife Marissa and our two young children.
After earning my undergraduate degree in Computer Science, I initially enjoyed a unique career in the Maryland-D.C. area as a Cryptography Analyst working with the US Department of Defense. While I enjoyed this work, during this period I cultivated a profound interest in medical research, specifically focusing on combating and decelerating the progression of common diseases of Western civilization, such as heart disease, cancer, obesity, and type 2 diabetes. This interest ultimately drove me to transition into the field of medicine, where I could directly contribute to the treatment and prevention of these life-threatening conditions. I returned to my home state of Michigan to attend the MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSU-COM).
